The small town of Nucla, Colorado, with a population of 750, passed the state’s first and only municipal ordinance in 2014 requiring heads of households to own guns and ammo, “in order to provide for and protect the safety, security and general welfare of the town and its inhabitants.”
“We more or less kind of wanted to give criminals a heads up. Stay out of this town. We’re armed,” stated board member Richard Craig.

I would feel safe there . Must be heaven
vote all democrats out .and save america .
I am a legal gun owner and I feel safer with guns in my house.

“Yeah, same here. I grew up with guns. I got my first firearm when I was six. Same thing, if you saw me on the property or anywhere in the neighborhood, I probably had a gun. So did everybody else. Everybody knew gun safety and nobody ever played around or joked about them. They were a tool and thats just not what they were for. Their wasnt anything just so hypnotizing about them. I think the problem is when you take that away, you dare your kids to go watch the movies you want to hide them from. You can remove every resemblance of a gun from your home, but what about your neighbors? Now you’ve made guns cool. And while you were doing that, you’ve kept from them importance of gun safety and the mechanics of the thing. They dont know what makes it go bang.. If another kid had pulled out his parents gun, pointed it at me, I’d of said “Oh cool..” and less than 5 minutes later, handed his parents the sear pin on my way out.”
