The small town of Nucla, Colorado, with a population of 750, passed the state’s first and only municipal ordinance in 2014 requiring heads of households to own guns and ammo, “in order to provide for and protect the safety, security and general welfare of the town and its inhabitants.”
“We more or less kind of wanted to give criminals a heads up. Stay out of this town. We’re armed,” stated board member Richard Craig.

Its a publicity stun…
If you believe this is right, then you HAVE to believe OBAMA care is legal ….
Yea anyway you slice it, it is still a state-compelled purchase which is against the concept of the free market. It’s also a perversion of the second amendment in that you have the right to bear arms but you are not forced to have them. Sorry, that town has the right idea, but has executed it very poorly.
I support The 2nd Amendment, but to “force” others to own firearms is just as wrong as telling others that they can not own them. It goes both ways…………….
I wanna move there
Nice.
maybe more towns should do this
Sounds like I need to move there
Since I have a right to bear arms, THE GOVERNMENT MUST PAY FOR MY WEAPONS !! … lol …
This needs to happen to all states just like Sweden a gun in every house for every one
Awesome!!
