Operators of the Nash Farm Battlefield Museum in Hampton, Georgia, have decided to close the five-year old Civil War museum after a Henry County commissioner demanded removal of Confederate artifacts.
The museum has been run by a nonprofit organization to commemorate the site of an August 1864 battle in the American Civil War. It’s been housed in a historic building in what has been a Henry County park.
Commissioner Dee Clemmons, an African-American woman, began her demands on the museum with a request to remove a Confederate flag displayed on a flagpole.

Maybe someone in Georgia will grow some balls and get that museum opened up .Don’t let them kill history .
That not Right
She must have cut history classes or sleep thru them
This is how hilter started
These un educated black activists cannot erase history by removing any symbol, relic, statue, book of any other reminder of the uncivil war period. It happened and if they are ashamed of their progenitors then they should study the true history and see for themselves the faults on both sides of the issue.
This is some b******t! Teaching the young tolerance and participation to control the next generations! Erasing history that shows how to handle people that wants to control you! It is a great disservice to take away knowledge like this!
Why is this happening in the United States, I thought that the United States was a democracy not communism. This is the kind of stuff that dictators do and communist countries. Taking down or Civil War monuments and the Confederate flag is not going to change our past. There is nothing racial about those monuments or the Confederate flag, black men fought beside white men during the Civil War. The Civil War was not fault over freeing slaves, the Civil War was fault Northern businessmen could not compete with Southern businessman because the South had free labor, so when you get right down to it it was all about money the rich Elites pointing their fingers at each other saying give me give me give me. I find the stuff going on offencive and insulting and an infringement on my civil rights and I’m pretty sure there’s a lot of other Americans out there that feel the same way I do.
That’s BS it was in a museum if they didn’t want to look at it they didn’t have to go it’s that simple!! Quit trying to erase history it all happened get over it!!!
