Operators of the Nash Farm Battlefield Museum in Hampton, Georgia, have decided to close the five-year old Civil War museum after a Henry County commissioner demanded removal of Confederate artifacts.
The museum has been run by a nonprofit organization to commemorate the site of an August 1864 battle in the American Civil War. It’s been housed in a historic building in what has been a Henry County park.
Commissioner Dee Clemmons, an African-American woman, began her demands on the museum with a request to remove a Confederate flag displayed on a flagpole.

Hey election time vote them out……..
This is ridiculous..then any slave museums must close down as well…
Removing history is SO wrong! Then there was never any slavery and get over your black race card! You do not want to be equal!!!sad day in America for the small minded racist!
Obama divided this country and set it back a hundred years! What did he really do blacks? Only Muslims!
Spot on
Any elected official that voted to remove historical monuments or flags should be voted out of office.
Definitely .
how do you change history? Rem,ove all reference to it!
This is so stupid
Next they will say the Jews were not exterminated in Germany, history is history.
They don’t like the truth . It isn’t sugar coated and it tells what happened to normal people who fought and died for this country . They don’t care about anything else that is not about slavery and reparations .
That’s what Hitler did! He removed all parts of History he did not like! This will come back to her and slap her in the face!
I guess were just supposed to forget about the history. If we pretend it never happened it will happen again. Well it’s true it’s happening today.
#racist
For sure it’s racist . It’s okay to remove the proof of the war, but it is not okay to say that blacks had slaves too. They gloss over that fact .
