Operators of the Nash Farm Battlefield Museum in Hampton, Georgia, have decided to close the five-year old Civil War museum after a Henry County commissioner demanded removal of Confederate artifacts.
The museum has been run by a nonprofit organization to commemorate the site of an August 1864 battle in the American Civil War. It’s been housed in a historic building in what has been a Henry County park.
Commissioner Dee Clemmons, an African-American woman, began her demands on the museum with a request to remove a Confederate flag displayed on a flagpole.

Total b******t if you ask me !! Every city or state has history and they should be proud! Good or bad its great to have memories of where we were in our short history and where we are now!!thats yhy we have museums and bits of history all over!! The south is the south the north is the north.. And the north was not one bit better!!! They were just as violent slavery exce encluding murder of indians Chinese or other races! Let’s wipe out the Civil War. Let’s pretend that Blacks weren’t freed by White men who gave their lives. Many Blacks don’t realize that they have become slaves of the state, waiting for their welfare dime. If they don’t care, we don’t either. Let them continue their ‘slave’ mentality. And they ‘think’ Whites are superior??? LOL Perhaps they are right.
