California Town Declares Itself a “Constitutional Republic City,” Will Not Obey State, Federal Orders

The town of Oroville, California, has had enough of the federal government and Gov. Newsome handing down orders that violate the “constitutionally protected rights” of their citizens.

The bold move came on the heels of Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom issuing an executive order that will extend parts of his March 4, 2020, emergency proclamation powers until March 31, 2022.

“With all of these emergencies and leaders declaring emergencies it puts one person in charge and they can do pretty much what they want even when the emergency is no longer an immediate threat, they were they are reluctant to give up that power,” said Mayor Chuck Reynolds.

Our nation was founded as a Constitutional Republic, but the days where we actually functioned as one are long gone. Princeton University declared the U.S. a full-fledged oligarchy in 2002 after studying almost 2000 government policies enacted between 1981 and 2002.

“The central point that emerges from our research is that economic elites and organized groups representing business interests have substantial independent impacts on U.S. government policy, while mass-based interest groups and average citizens have little or no independent influence,” the study notes.

The purpose of the resolution passed in Oroville is to “reaffirm to people what type of government we live under,” said Reynolds. Move to the next page for the full story.
