Should you as a parent be informed that your elementary school child would be attending a gay pride school assembly – complete with a gay choir singing about homosexual freedom?
Many parents are outraged when the Glenview Elementary school in Oakland, California didn’t inform them that their kids, as young as 5, would be mandated to attend a recent school assembly where the gay lifestyle would be promoted.

Probably why most gays are from this gay state and live there
I despise hatred!
I’m all for religious freedom Ann, but when a centerpoint of your faith is to demean and harrass an entire group of people because “the bible says so”, then your religion becomes a problem.
As a parent I would be so mad! They are forcing this on us.!
Oh sorry Jessica, I prefer Jessica too. I’m trans :/
I despise hatred too.. Not agreeing with someone is not hatred;-)
pure bull$#%&!@*
I don’t have any churren of my own. However I don’t think this to be right in any way. When you cage the beast the beast gets angry. When you force anything on people the responses are usually vulgar and very atrocious. I will not however make any judgmental statements towards this action or those involved. I will say this though, its so wrong on so many levels. I thought school was a place of learning……obviously that’s so farfetched its unreal. America has become a disgraceful country. We need to take this country back!!!
I AS a parent would want to be informed , before , and determine if my child is ready to even understand what this is all about ! there is nothing wrong with being gay . but would you expose a five year old to even comprehend any of this? it is good to teach about different kinds of family’s . I think older children , middle school would get more out of it , and be more mature to understand it , the world is changing , more and more diversity in all aspects of life . and it is up to the parents , not the school to determine when to answer questions to their children in the proper manner.
