Should you as a parent be informed that your elementary school child would be attending a gay pride school assembly – complete with a gay choir singing about homosexual freedom?
Many parents are outraged when the Glenview Elementary school in Oakland, California didn’t inform them that their kids, as young as 5, would be mandated to attend a recent school assembly where the gay lifestyle would be promoted.

No where in Common Core Standards does it say that children should be exposed to this. This is a load of c**p and the school did not think this thru clearly. First of all, they should have informed parents to make sure they were ok with students attending such an assembly. Secondly, if you are gay and you are proud, great for you but this is considered an issue of family morals and values as well as religious views and cannot be forced on or taught about with in the school realm. The school was plain wrong. It has nothing to do with Common Core. Just like any other controversial social issue, parents must be informed and give their consent for the lesson or assembly first.
If you can’t teach Christianity in school Then you shouldn’t be able to teach homosexuality
Once again, homeschool your children, while you still can.
Allow children freedom for themselves!!!
This is truly an outrage !
No let them do it, Christopher. Let them show much “Christian love” they really have.
Forced lol wtf
James said it for me, THIS IS TOTAL BULL$#%&!@*!!! This United States is not all total gay people, there are some regular couples. Yes, the parents or caretakers should be informed.
It’s Jessica, Jay! My husband doesn’t go on very much
