Police in Buffalo, N.Y., have set forth a plan to begin confiscating the firearms of legal gun owners within days of their deaths.
This is one more little step in the agenda that gun control advocates have embarked on to inch us closer and closer to complete disarmament.
Of course, a communist government is incompatible with an armed populace.

So that means the police scan for obituaries & then check to see if they owned firearms??? Seems to me they should be more focused on looking for criminals.

If you are a gun owner and have not left New York and California then you should turn over your weapons because you are to stupid to own a firearm responsibly.
A family member who passes on now (probably at least in their 70’s) wouldn’t have any of their guns registered anyways. These firearms are most likely pre registration regulations. So the so called law enforcement community wouldn’t have any idea that they owned one (or hopefully more). The best plan for a family who enjoys their 2nd amendment rights is to have a succession plan for the coveted firearms of their parents and extended family to pass these firearms down to responsible and appreciative family members. This way these firearms stay unregistered for all time and rightly so..

“Well regulated militia” — permits qualify. Freedom of speech — “shall not be abridged. Kinda different.
That property is part of the estate. It should be legally transferred to an FFL and either transferred to a legal heir, or put up for sale, with the proceeds reverting to the estate.
