While some politicians and scientists embrace global warming and climate change with almost religious fervor, new evidence has surfaced to suggest the science is not in fact settled.
Researchers off the coast of Norway’s Svalbard archipelago have discovered that where methane gas bubbles up from seafloor seeps, surface waters above the seeps absorb twice as much carbon dioxide as surrounding waters, thus lessening the impact of climate change.
The previous assumption had been that methane seeps would inevitably increase the amount of greenhouse gases. Seeps occur above fissures on the seafloor caused of the earth’s tectonic activity.
Biogeochemist John Pohlman of the U.S. Geological Survey in Woods Hole, Massachusetts, began the research near Svalbard to learn just how much methane the Arctic Ocean was contributing to the global balance in the atmosphere.
Find out just how surprising the findings were not only to the Pohlman team but other scientists looking at the same issue regarding methane. It’s all found on the next page.

So even with this finding let’s saddle the world economy, meaning United States, meaning consumers in America with the greatest carbon tax ever all in the name of feel good science! Man-Made-Climate-Change is a Hoax and a Fraud perpetuated on consumers to control and confiscate as much of you money as possible! The party espousing this is the Democrat Party! So when your costs go up don’t look to Conservatives, they are not the problem.
It’s a cycle ace wad and not man made!
Evidence of global cooling….hmmm.
Ok now stop wasting money on this.
CONSIDERING THAT we have not even explored a fraction of our ocean’s floor we have no idea what is helping to cause warming or if it’s been this way for ions… One day people will realize the planet has to give out like all the other dead ones in the space zones. again when i see the global warming screaming start walking everywhere they need to go and growing their own organic food i pay none of them any mind

Cool and interesting. That’s the cool thing about science. If it is indeed that big of a deal, people will study it and see what kind of impact it’s going to have. That doesn’t change the existing story yet though. Science is an ongoing process that refines and improves along the way. It is politicians and self interest that try and make the issue black-and-white. I keep trying to understand why anything that has to do with the environment is considered “liberal”. Every human being on the planet should care about the environment cuz it will kill us.
Ken Herbert that’s what I’ve been trying to say brother. But sometimes not very eloquently.
