Illegal immigrants have just been shown the door. A federal court judge has erred on the side of reason, deciding that the children of illegal immigrants are not entitled to US citizenship. This must be disappointing for illegals looking to suckle on American rights and entitlements without the hassle of actually becoming Americans or troubling to pay taxes like the rest of us.

My daughter was born in Germany. Her birth was registered in Germany, but her birth certificate stated “American citizen born on foreign soil”.
Duane Sweaney : The 14th amendment (1868) states that any child born “subject to the Jurisdiction” is a citizen at birth. A subject is a person whom is born with allegiance to our nation. A child gets his or her allegiance from the parents. If one( Naturlized) or both( Natural Born) of the parents have allegaince to our nation then the child is an American citizen. The current policy of allowing citizenship for children of illegals did not start until the 1980’s, nothing to do with the 14th amendment. The full meaning of 14th amendment citizenship clause is clearly explained in the congressional records which are legal documents.
They are not citizens even if they were born here. If your parent or parents are here illegally, then so are you. It is quite simple.
