How could you deal with a highly armed American populace all at once if you wanted to take down the country? Why isn’t Barack Obama impeached or arrested yet? How could you get rid of 90% of the American population without ever setting foot on our soil?
All those questions could very well have the same answer: an EMP attack.
An Electromagnetic Pulse is a short burst of energy that has the ability to completely fry any and all electronics and can be brought about by a exploding a nuclear device at high altitude (North Korea is capable of doing this right now) or even just by a solar flare. A cyber attack or simple physical assault could also take down our highly vulnerable grid.
Such an event would send us all back to the stone age as every single electronic device, including the power grid, would be completely destroyed.

Absurd! An EMP is harmless to humans. Yes, one could calculate and expect with the loss of some electronic devices, or the sudden cessation of some machine functions would kill people. But 90% is an absurd figure! Completely improbably, and I can’t imagine how someone could even attempt to ascertain such a figure.
In fact, old cars, would work again once fuses were replaced. Even many modern computers would be able to be restarted after an EMP, they would just have no data, but physical and optical storage could replace OSes and backed-up data. And Critical data is in most cases stores in a facility designed to withstand and EMP.
My company keeps it’s archived back-ups in such a facility.
And the antiquated, non-digital parts of the power grid are like old cars, repairable and could be restored to operation in a reasonable response time. A NEW, digital, smart grid would actually be more vulnerable.
Yes, planes would fall, cars would stop and there would be tragic and terrible deaths, but 90%? Are we all on pacemakers and electronic life-support and don’t know it?

meaning you don’t even have to be born in the USA, just subject to the Jurisdiction of the Federal government. But clearly Hawaii was a US state at the time.
Subsequent legislation and precedent establish that any child born to 1 or more parents of valid US citizenship, is by the nature of their birth a US citizen, regardless of the place of or circumstances of their birth.

I lived 12 years of my life with out Electric power. Heated house by what burned including cow chips, cooked on same stove that heated the house, used hand tools that had no electric. It was a much simpler lifew back then. There were no switchs to turn on or off, you built it back then.
