An Electromagnetic Pulse is a short burst of energy that has the ability to completely fry any and all electronics and can be brought about by a exploding a nuclear device at high altitude (North Korea is capable of doing this right now) or even just by a solar flare. A very large portion of the population would perish due to the repercussions of lack of electricity. Imagine all cell phones, internet, ability to keep food cold, control traffic systems, hospitals down…. The urban areas would be affected first. Riots, looting, killing over resources, food and medicine. The rural areas would then be susceptible to invasion by the urban dwellers looking for the resources they cannot find in cities. Look beyond the lack of electricity and see the big picture.

This has happened in the past and taken out all the power in Ontario Canada and other places caused by the suns solar flares. Despite all the talk about countries like Russia, China, Europeans, etc being in conflict with each other, all contribute to a global system costing billions a years to monitor and understand solar flares from the sun. Satellites are moved and other precautions are taken like switching open all power grids so the excess current from a solar flare can have as much space to travel through the grid as possible. This is just hype to suggest that only the USA is vulnerable to EMP incidents beyond there control. THE WHOLE PLANET IS AND NONE OF US CAN DO MUCH ABOUT IT IF THE SUN RELEASES A BIG ENOUGH FLARE TO TAKE OUT THE WORLDS ELECTRONIC SYSTEMS.
