How could you deal with a highly armed American populace all at once if you wanted to take down the country? Why isn’t Barack Obama impeached or arrested yet? How could you get rid of 90% of the American population without ever setting foot on our soil?
All those questions could very well have the same answer: an EMP attack.
An Electromagnetic Pulse is a short burst of energy that has the ability to completely fry any and all electronics and can be brought about by a exploding a nuclear device at high altitude (North Korea is capable of doing this right now) or even just by a solar flare. A cyber attack or simple physical assault could also take down our highly vulnerable grid.
Such an event would send us all back to the stone age as every single electronic device, including the power grid, would be completely destroyed.

Buy hand pumps and steam engines. EMP doesn’t affect a diesel, but how do you start it by hand?
Kenny Belford (previous post Saturday 8:44 PM) is obviously a Democrat. He makes fun of being aware of the effects of an EMP attack. He denies it would have serious consequences. Just research it online. An EMP attack would knock out any electrical devices that were operating at the time of the pulse. No power grid, no modern cars with computer chips, no communications. That is the reality and no one is taking any precautions, particularly the Democrats. Perhaps that explains the resistance to developing modern efficient steam engines and allowing them to be used in low pollution multi-fuel vehicles that would not be damaged by an EMP. There are defenses, but it would cost the money now being used to buy votes with “free” stuff.
He would laugh at the idea that light could kill him as the laser put a hole through him. Low-information mocker.
The thing you have to remember about the extreme right is that, while not reputed for a good relationship with actual science, they do love their dystopian sci-fi. Not a coincidence that every liberal gets called “Big Brother” even while fighting for civil liberties. Jerry Doyle once played a character on “Babylon 5” who showed that reverse psychology is key to brainwashing the most independent spirits into doing your bidding (tea, anyone?) And of course Charlton Heston’s roles taught that hope is overrated, and if you think the “monkeys” are winning, you can always just push the button and destroy everything.
An emp attack would screw us, we’ll then it’s a good thing we advertised we are afraid of it on social media.
It is a real threat. Honestly though any nation willing to take out the only country keeping the world economy pumping is idiotic. If it was so easy any Nuclear country would of done it. North Korea has nuclear capabilities an has yet to do so. Don’t think money isn’t the game of terrorism.
It’s the same in almost all other parts of the world, too.
Without electricity there’s no communication.
Without communication there’s chaos.
With chaos comes panic.
With panic comes trouble.
Without communication and electricity it can be almost impossible to deal with trouble.
