Fiber optics are not affected by EMP , that was a mad rush to get installed. Most auto’s are probably safe too. EMP’s will effect all transistors, micro-processors, Batteries anything that’s digitally operated, the things that are in-affected would be late model cars 1960’s down or anything stored in metal containers, due to the static charge not being able to penates the metal exterior surfaces, any one who’s served in the military should know and understand this from the cold wars. It would latterly knock this world back into the early 18th Century.
