How could you deal with a highly armed American populace all at once if you wanted to take down the country? Why isn’t Barack Obama impeached or arrested yet? How could you get rid of 90% of the American population without ever setting foot on our soil?
All those questions could very well have the same answer: an EMP attack.
An Electromagnetic Pulse is a short burst of energy that has the ability to completely fry any and all electronics and can be brought about by a exploding a nuclear device at high altitude (North Korea is capable of doing this right now) or even just by a solar flare. A cyber attack or simple physical assault could also take down our highly vulnerable grid.
Such an event would send us all back to the stone age as every single electronic device, including the power grid, would be completely destroyed.

Russia has had this capability since the early 1960’s . All military electronics are shielded from this type of attack . If there’s a high altitude atomic detonation , we have a lot more to worry about than emp’s !!!
The reason why the President has not been arrested yet is because he can not be arrested by law. He can not be arrested while serving in office, neither can members of congress or the judiciary branch. As to why he has not been impeached. Because congress and the judiciary are in the same boat as the President as far as constitutional violations and therefore would have to include themselves into the impeachment ring as well.

I agree with Bill. 90% is high but 70% nationwide is realistic IF you could cripple the whole country electronically. More realistic would be one large EMP effecting the north east or the west coast, but not the whole country. It would still cripple us as a world power but wouldn’t be the disaster that is feared. Read the book “1 second after”. Much more realistic depiction of what this type of disaster would look like, and it’s not pretty.
