How could you deal with a highly armed American populace all at once if you wanted to take down the country? Why isn’t Barack Obama impeached or arrested yet? How could you get rid of 90% of the American population without ever setting foot on our soil?
All those questions could very well have the same answer: an EMP attack.
An Electromagnetic Pulse is a short burst of energy that has the ability to completely fry any and all electronics and can be brought about by a exploding a nuclear device at high altitude (North Korea is capable of doing this right now) or even just by a solar flare. A cyber attack or simple physical assault could also take down our highly vulnerable grid.
Such an event would send us all back to the stone age as every single electronic device, including the power grid, would be completely destroyed.

Really, all it would cut out is our immediate communication. It wouldn’t cut our infrastructure very much. Shoot, I have end taken the time to build what I need to run my lathe off of a bicycle, and once my lathe is up and running I chould build anything. And I don’t claim to be anything special. What im getting at is we built this world at the hands of craftsmen, and us craftsmen can surely build it again. Besides, fb going away is not necessarily a bad thing.

This is one that won’t happen. Why? Because they(the bad guys wouldn’t be safe from it. Foreign countries don’t even want to mess with this one either. Too risky.

The possibility of an EMP attack has been a problem since the cold war. I remember when I worked in the Civil Defense in the early 80s we had radio stations that were prepared by the US government for this. If a nuke were to be explode over the USA, most of all electrical systems would be useless. This is not something new.
I’ve been saying that an EMP would be the perfect way to start invading the US for many years.
