This rat trap anyone can build. You make it once and it catches many rats.
A bucket, some peanut butter, a pipe and some water. Yup, that’s pretty simple.
One improvement suggested by someone using this trap is to add antifreeze to the water, which instantly kills the rats.
I guess you would need a really big one, if you are in Washington DC !
Yup, I’ve been using one in my garage for years. The anti-freeze keeps the water in the bottom from freezing in winter, which is also when I catch the most mice. It also catches chipmunks, which are as damaging as mice, once inside a home.
