This rat trap anyone can build. You make it once and it catches many rats.
A bucket, some peanut butter, a pipe and some water. Yup, that’s pretty simple.
One improvement suggested by someone using this trap is to add antifreeze to the water, which instantly kills the rats.

That is Inhumane and Antifreeze is a horrid painful death. Get havahart rodent traps. They catch many and you can release them someplace to be food for hawks, owl, and predators. Poison a rat that a predator eats and you kill the predator too. Rats have a place in the food chain.
