This rat trap anyone can build. You make it once and it catches many rats.
A bucket, some peanut butter, a pipe and some water. Yup, that’s pretty simple.
One improvement suggested by someone using this trap is to add antifreeze to the water, which instantly kills the rats.

This does seem like a good idea, I would never use the antifreeze suggestion , it would be a tragedy for someone’s pet to get into that plus you don’t need mice and rats dying in the walls or ceiling.
We use ammonia and water works great keeps oder down to nothing

I’m making two.. one for inside the garage, one for the outside. For the one outside, I think I will bury it about halfway into the ground.
