This rat trap anyone can build. You make it once and it catches many rats.
A bucket, some peanut butter, a pipe and some water. Yup, that’s pretty simple.
One improvement suggested by someone using this trap is to add antifreeze to the water, which instantly kills the rats.
Better make sure your pets don’t have access to it. It will kill your dogs and cats, too, and any other pets (and kids).
Tried this for mice. Even added a little “plank” for them go up to get to the can with the peanut butter. Didn’t work…………..sounded like a good idea though……..
Dont put antifreeze it will dogs & cats plus they r attracted to it cause it taste sweet to them
Rats are vermin and spread disease. They attack and bite livestock and ruin grain fields that feed us. Who cares about humane.. I kill them every way possible.. Even burned them to death. Whatever works.
No no anti freeze……I would just take em out into the woods and let em go..we had mice a few yrs back..caught em and let em go…they haven’t been back…
Just so the dog doesn’t get onto it.
Or your cat.
The antifreeze will kill your pets if they should get into it
seems kind cruel letting them just drown.. and the antifreeze.. you might as well put out poison..
