While it’s been no secret that the media doesn’t want Donald Trump to be president, it’s so-called “new media” that Republicans might want to be wary of as November looms nearer and nearer.

Chances are if you’re a social media user and a vocal Trump supporter that you’ve noticed something fishy with the way the site or app in question handles the question of the Donald. Perhaps you learned that nobody saw that pro-Trump article you shared, or maybe you were told by administrators to remove a post that was mildly critical of Hillary Clinton or face suspension of your account. Far from being a fluke, such incidents are per the course for conservatives on the Internet due to the ideological leanings of the tech industry.

Companies like Apple, Instagram, and Twitter have all been implicated in attempting to silence users who express support for Trump, in spite of the fact that many did nothing to break their terms of service.
