Had a job making $15 an hour, couldn’t even afford the fuel to get to work! Inflation destroys everything, and there is no need for it. It still takes the same effort to make something or do a job now as it use to, some cases less. And yet everything costs more. In 1987 if you made $40K a year, you could afford a house and a nice car! Today it’s pay check to pay check at that level. Insanity.

Yes I know that. Half my retirement went and I have to build it all back up again. My home went from being worth a million dollars to 400k, even after all the renovations. Go figure.
