5. Teapot Dome
One major presidential scandal only came to light after the death of President Warren G. Harding. The Teapot Dome scandal involved a substantial bribe to Albert B. Fall, Harding’s First Secretary of the Interior in return for improper considerations in awarding oil drilling leases to a private company without competitive bidding. Although Harding knew about the oil deal, he was unaware of the illegal payoff. Despite not being involved, Teapot Dome still did severe damage to Harding’s reputation.
Not all scandals destroy presidential reputations, but there are other serious and far-reaching consequences. On the next slide, learn how petty bickering among Jackson’s cabinet about a sex scandal prevented him from effectively leading the country for the first years of his presidency.
Remember who is funding your welfare check?
Remember when all the presidents before didn’t care about the American people.
If I ever get one after 40 years of working it would be me ..most of it goes to the south to stupid white trash
