Statues of Jefferson Davis and Woodrow Wilson Removed, Deemed Racist

The president of the University of Texas in Austin, Greg Fenves caved in to outcries that two statues represent the South’s racist past. He announced on Thursday that the statue of Jefferson Davis will be moved from the campus’s Main Mall to the school’s Dolph Briscoe Center for American History.

The statue of Woodrow Wilson was also moved to “maintain symmetry on the mall.”
