Shooting at San Bernardino Elementary School: ‘Multiple People Down’

Multiple people have been shot at a San Bernardino elementary school, which occured just after 10:30 a.m.

San Bernardino Police Chief Jarrod Burguan reports that four victims are being treated and a suspect was down as well.

“We believe this to be a murder suicide,” he tweeted. “Happened in a class room. Two students have been transported to the hospital.”

The current report is that the gunman first shot a teacher then students before leaving the school. In a possible confrontation with police, the gunman shot himself.

The San Bernardino County Fire Department reported that a triage area has been set up.

“It’s a developing situation,” said Eric Sherwin, a Fire Department spokesman.
