Remington Loses Class Action Suit Over Defective Trigger

Even after settling a class action lawsuit over defective trigger mechanisms in their rifles, Remington Arms Company has had to pay a Louisiana woman $500,000 for a personal injury caused by the rifle.

In March of this year, Remington settled the costly class action lawsuit for $12.5 million in plaintiff attorney fees as part of the settlement. The firearms manufacturer now has to remove defective rifles from circulation and provide gun owners with the opportunity to have their rifles retrofitted with new triggers.
