Jay Familglietti, NASA’s top water scientist, recently warned that California has only a year’s supply of water left in storage facilities and the backup groundwater is rapidly depleting. Despite this harrowing fact, California has no backup plan to address this crisis.
“California has no contingency plan for a persistent drought like this one (let alone a 20-plus-year mega-drought), except, apparently, staying in emergency mode and praying for rain,” stated Familglietti. “In short, we have no paddle to navigate this crisis.”
UPDATE: California Gov. Jerry Brown issues ineffectual, mandatory water restriction as one-third of our nation’s crops are threatened. See Page 3 for updates.

And while there is no perfect answer, and sustainable energy is important, we should give true consideration to the “a little of everything” approach. Enough solar farms to provide adequate energy would take up enough space to cover half of Texas. Over abundance of wind farms cause changes in weather patterns and are an eye sore. Only hydrocarbons means we’d run out eventually. So let’s all calm down on all the craziness and work together and use a enough of everything to make a difference, but not screw everything up
National aeronautical and space agency yeah your right
The hell with California let them die of thirst
Yeah, you have CHEMTRAILS drifting the showers that were suppose to enter CA during February and March. Why won’t you report on Chemtrails and the effect is taking on the Ca. drought?????
Hahaha. Thinking liberals are the problem whole basically acting out the hypocrisy of conservatives. “We need to conserve water, but not me, because freedom and Eagles and murrika”. The same people who are fighting against efficient appliances, toilets, and low consumption landscapes are the ones complaining that liberals are causing the problems.

You could very well be right! In any case, it’s always a good idea to have a backup plan…
Such c**p
Salt can be used on the roads in the north
Good maybe those Liberals will die of thirst
