Multiple Zika Cases Reported In US, First Sexually-Transmitted Case Confirmed

With the public having just got over the ebola scare some time ago, the last thing Americans want to hear is that they are at risk of an incredibly harmful, incredibly fast-traveling virus. But thanks to the sudden resurgence of the feared Zika virus, they have no choice but to inform and protect themselves.

What is the Zika virus you ask? It is a mosquito-borne virus that contains the ability to make victims bear children with debilitating birth defects, such as brain damage and decreased head circumference.

Thankfully, this terrible ailment has traditionally been confined to Third World countries, but a recent upswing in cases of it has increased the chances of Americans being exposed to it, which is exactly what has happened.

At least 5 New Yorkers have been diagnosed with the Zika virus, worrying many that the epidemic will spread to the rest of America.
