Indiana Gov. Mike Pence has announced that, starting in 2015, new food stamp applicants that are “able bodied” and don’t have children must work at least 20 hours, or be in job training, to receive food stamps.
Other states are considering re-instituting the requirement, like Maine and New Mexico, after it was waved following the financial crisis in 2008.

Does he have jobs fo this group? I know in some hard hit areas some young people have almost Zero work history. In small towns in the midwest some people are almost 20 before they mnage to get a job. There are so few jobs that the people hiring opt for a bit older worker, figuring these kids ca live off their folks. his has been a real problem. It isn’t acase of just lazy people.
