Rep. Matt Salmon (R-Ariz.) has been pushing very hard for a hearing to bring our Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi home after more than 5 months in a Mexican prison for taking a wrong turn at the border with guns in his vehicle. Now Salmon has accomplished a House hearing on this issue.

A House subcommittee will hold a hearing on Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi, who remains jailed in Mexico.
Montel Williams and Rep. Matt Salmon (R-Ariz.) went “On The Record” to discuss the hearing, which is set for Oct. 1.
“It’s time for us to make sure the American public understands there is a sick U.S. soldier being held in a prison outside of the United States,” Williams said, explaining that Tahmooressi suffers from combat PTSD and that the Mexican government cannot give him the care needed to deal with that.
Salmon said Williams, Tahmooressi’s mother, a PTSD expert, and Tahmooressi’s former comrade from Afghanistan will attend the hearing. He said that he wants to show the Mexican government that we mean business, and to show the Obama administration that it is well past time to get this done.
“The president has had ample opportunity to pick up the phone and call the president of Mexico,” Salmon said.
Williams noted, “This is about taking care of our soldiers who give us the right to speak out this way.”

What else can we expect from the coward in the White House who declines to attend a dedication for a memorial to disabled vets? He despises the American military. Yes CJ Snellgrove, it is indeed the laughing stock of the world.
Neither has congress
