Deadly Terror Attacks Barcelona, 13 Dead, 32 Injured, Man Hunt Ongoing

A deadly terror attack occurred in Barcelona today killing 13 and leaving 32 other injured after a van drove through the crowds.

At least 13 people have been killed and dozens injured after a van in Barcelona ploughed into pedestrians before two men entered a restaurant with guns.

Pictures and video emerging from the scene show armed police and paramedics rushing to Las Ramblas, a busy tree-lined promenade in the centre of the city.

Horrifying footage from the scene shows dozens of victims lying injured on the floor.

Police have confirmed that 32 people are injured, with Catalonia’s interior minister Joaquim Forn saying it is ‘very possible’ that the number of dead will rise because of the ‘very serious’ wounds to victims.

Two armed men also entered a Turkish restaurant taking the occupants hostage. It is not yet known if the two men inside the restaurant are the men driving the van. Despite the police being the ones negotiating with the gunman to release the hostages.

Gunfire was heard at the Corte Ingles store in the area after police announced a ‘massive crash’.

Police officers were said to be negotiating with two attackers in a Turkish restaurant where they have taken hostages.

Officers were also searching for a second van the attackers may have hired as a getaway vehicle.

The civil guard has said the van used in the attack was rented by a man named Driss Oukabir , in the town of Santa Perpetua de la Mogada, El Pais reports.

A prominent newspaper reports that the CIA warned 2 months ago of an upcoming attack. Much like Pearl Harbor or 9/11? That we do not yet know.

El Periodico said the CIA had warned local police two months ago that La Rambla could be the scene of a terrorist attack.

Once again Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy remains focused on stopping the violence than condemning the terrorist entire religion or ideology at this point.

Spanish prime minister Mariano Rajoy said he is in contact with all emergency services and stressed the priority is to help the injured.

Armed police have also been seen rushing into the area while emergency services have asked to close Metro and train stations in the city.
