“The Sergeant at Arms is authorized to arrest and detain any person violating Senate rules, including the President of the United States,” states the senate.gov website.
The Sergeant at Arms of the United States Senate, currently Andrew B. Willison, is the only person with authority to arrest a sitting president – if the president has violated Senate rules – which Obama certainly has.
But what if the Sergeant at Arms won’t do his job and arrest the President when crimes have been committed?
If Andrew Willison will not perform his duty and arrest the president for crimes Obama has committed, is Mr. Willison not complicit and guilty of a criminal act himself?

Who WILL is the Question!
No as one commenter wrote no president was ever fully embraced. Even George Washington had to send troops in to western Penn to put down the whiskey rebellion. And Lincoln was so little embraced his election caused a civil war. Look at the moral split in the country now and the rural and urban split also the same circumstances exist now as they did in 1885. Another leader that devices instead of brings us together and we are seriously looking at a repeat of history. In my area citizens are stock piling ammunition and guns hiding them in bunkers and false walls. George Washington said grid lock in congress was better than having one party in control and the damage they can do to the people. He would have probably recalled the militia if some said in his term ” well we have to pass the bill to see what is in it”.
Do it NOW. Don’t wait.
Congress, by their inaction on this matter is telling the president (and the whole world) that he is indeed above the law!
That is never going to happen the secret service will never allow anyone to ever touched this man. Your answer is the Congress did you have government in high school.
Wow never seen so mucH hater
Something wrong when laws can’t pass and the pres just executive orders it done. Prisoner swap without congress was also agains5 law

I would love to replace the current sergeant at arms.
Matt Landry the most recent violation everyone is upset about is the recent prisoner swap. He did it without notifying any member of senate or congress. Yes Bush did the same during the Iraq war, but the difference that is pointed out is after 9/11 we were all pissed and the majority knew we were going to war one way or another. So Bush just bypassed Congress. Obama swaped an American AWAL soldier for 5 known and convicted terrorist and let them free, & did so without telling anyone but his members of his cabinet. Im not favoring one side or the other… just telling you the general consensus I’ve noticed throughout media and reactions. My opinion is that yes what he did was wrong…but not a damn thing will happen. He won’t be arrested. We all talk about this stuff and nothing happens. Welcome to America.
