BLM Texas Land Grab: Your Deed is Worthless, So Your Land is Ours Now

For over 70 years, the Aderholts have been working their 1,250 acres, running cattle in the Red River Valley, in Harrold, Texas.   It has been a family owned and operated business since the 40’s when his grandparents purchased the land.  Ken hopes his two boys, who enjoy helping with the cattle and the day to day work involved, will one day take over the family business.

This however may not happen due to Uncle Sam’s bratty brother the BLM stealing it from the Aderholts.  The BLM claims that the deed the Aderholts have on the property, which includes their home, is not valid, thus making justification for the theft.

“The BLM is saying we should have never had a deed to it. That Texas should have never produced that deed,” Aderholt said.

The BLM want to take 600 acres from Ken Aderholt.  Ken stated that the BLM “owns” the from the middle of the Red River to where the banks cut away. That is it, yet the government claims they own “about half a mile inland, or roughly 600 of Aderholt’s 1,250 acres”, which includes the family home.

“It varies, the way the water washes and cuts into different properties, but it has always been just a little slither of property,” Aderholt said.

According to the Bureau of Land Management, the true boundary is about half a mile inland, or roughly 600 of Aderholt’s 1,250 acres.

Aderholt’s house is located inside the 600 acres the BLM wants to claim. While he’s been notified the land could be taken, he has not been told what the U.S. government plans to do with it.

Don’t mess with this Texan, as he is not going down without a fight. The BLM has not stated what they will use the land for, what their “public use” will be, what the compensation will be or anything of legal relevance.   The fight against the monster that is the BLM will not be easy, but when family and property are threatened, self defense is permissible.
