Do you think it’s ok to allow schools to spank our kids?
A parent e-mailed me as her child’s school began this fall, outraged at one of the forms she found in her packet: the “Corporal Punishment Parental Consent Form.”
Her options:
I do not give permission for the school to administer corporal punishment as a form of discipline to my child/children.
I give permission for the school to administer corporal punishment as a form of discipline to my child/children.
it was not an option when I was a kid. If we messed up in school, we got a paddling and were glad to get it instead of telling our parents, which might have been worse. as opposed to today, when our parents would sue the school for thinking to punish us.
if parents cant punish there own kids i dont think schools should be allowed to
I’d rather a my kid be on the wrong end of a paddle if need be, than to be on the wrong side of a Judge’s bench, or even worse, on the wrong side of the ground.
When we were growing up, all it usually took was one time of having the “paddle” used. Very seldom did you see repeat offenders. Not only that, when we got home we were punished again because…. What has happened to parenting today??!!
I don’t think it is right for the school to hit the kids only the parents cause if the school puts marks on the kids then the parents go after the school so I say no to it
with all the sick teachers out there un monitered and teacher’s unions unwilling to fire them i wouldn’t let a teacher OR school to run even a taco stand, if parents can’t or won’t teach their kids the values to live in a civilised society then it’s the parents failure ,,, ANYBODY hits my kid then i’m gonna hit YOU!!
thats what alot of kids needs these days maybe that would have a little more respect for people when i was in school thats what you would git if you dun something you didnt need to be doing i want lie about it have had my share of the paddle in my school years and i turned out just fine i think they need to be useing a paddle in every school.
